I just got back from Sheldon Calvary Camp in Conneaut, OH, on the shore of Lake Erie. It is quite the amazing place. I don’t know what it is about the camp, but I seem to become closer with myself & with God when I am there. I had a lot of time to think, and have some blog entries I want to write about in the next coming days. I had one planned on Seniority, but I forget what the meat of my musings was, so I’m gonna’ skip it.
SCC is just such an amazing place. It’s been said many times before, and much more eloquently I’m sure, but the little plot of land off the coast of Erie inspires me every time, and just after my 2nd year attending, I’ve thinking of giving my summer to counseling there in the future. At SCC, you can be yourself, without worrying about the effects of materialistic labels, because there are none. People respect you for who you are, not what your front makes you out to be. I think this openness is what helps me find myself & where I belong in this grand scheme.
Calvary Camp is one of the reasons I know God must be. How could something so beautiful exist without divine intervention?

We are in the hotel now–we are at the Hilton. It’s nice, and has free Wi-Fi, which is so very nice when trying to connect with the sane world. Hi to all my theatre peeps, sorry I couldn’t come to rehearsal, I hope all went well.
Academic Games is pretty boring, and I almost wish I was back in Pittsburgh right now. Soon enough, I suppose.

I made it to the Baltimore Comic Con yesterday at around 2:30 yesterday, and it was really cool. I met some awesome people, including the people from ID Comics and Comfort Love and Adam Withers from the Uniques. I’ve followed ID for quite some time, and saw them at 2007’s Pittsburgh Comic Con, but the Uniques are relatively new to me, though I really dig their stuff. Check out their awesome comic here: .
I’m going back today for a little, and I’m really hoping to get a chance to see Brian Michael Bendis and have him sign my New Avengers comic book. I went yesteday, but the line for his table was closed. :-/
I’ll update with some of the goodies I got later on when I have access to a scanner!

Sorry for the absence, everyone.. After coming back from the Keys, I took another trip, this time to the Outer Banks. Not much to talk about that, really, but I had a lot of fun
Has anyone heard of the game Spore? It is being made by EA Games, and I’ve been really excited about it for a very very long time. However I just figured out that I can’t run the macintosh version on my Mac! I have to use bootcamp to run it through Windows. I’m glad I can still run it, but it’s a pain that my Macbook isn’t supported. The game looks like its going to be a lot of fun, anyway. Here is a link if you haven’t heard of it: spore.com
I think I’m going to be writing some more insightful posts soon, instead of the diary-like entries I’ve had so far, so there will be some interesting stuff to read soon
Thanks for stopping by!

Well I just got back from a week-long trip to the Florida Keys, as part of the Boy Scouts’ SeaBase High Adventure program. Located just north of Key West, the Brinton Environmental Center houses definitely one of the coolest programs ever called SeaBase! During my six-day stay with my Boy Scout troop, we deep sea fished, snorkeled in Looe Key, one of the best coral reefs in the world, sailed the mighty Atlantic, camped out on Big MUNSON! Island (where we got to pet!!! the Key Deer, a deer native to Florida), see dolphins, kayak through a maze of mangrove trees, and more!
It was a blast, and I got a lot of really cool pictures. Once I look through them I’ll definitely post some up here. Seriously, check this out on their website… Just google ‘Sea Base’ or ‘Brinton Environmental Center’. If you belong to a Boy Scout troop or a Venture Scout troop, or are looking for an exciting summer job, check this place out. It will change your life.
On another note, while I was there I also had some time to do some sketches. I have started work on two characters to accompany Gradient in his story, ‘Shades of Freedom’. Both of them will be introduced shortly.
