Well I just got back from a week-long trip to the Florida Keys, as part of the Boy Scouts’ SeaBase High Adventure program. Located just north of Key West, the Brinton Environmental Center houses definitely one of the coolest programs ever called SeaBase! During my six-day stay with my Boy Scout troop, we deep sea fished, snorkeled in Looe Key, one of the best coral reefs in the world, sailed the mighty Atlantic, camped out on Big MUNSON! Island (where we got to pet!!! the Key Deer, a deer native to Florida), see dolphins, kayak through a maze of mangrove trees, and more!
It was a blast, and I got a lot of really cool pictures. Once I look through them I’ll definitely post some up here. Seriously, check this out on their website… Just google ‘Sea Base’ or ‘Brinton Environmental Center’. If you belong to a Boy Scout troop or a Venture Scout troop, or are looking for an exciting summer job, check this place out. It will change your life.
On another note, while I was there I also had some time to do some sketches. I have started work on two characters to accompany Gradient in his story, ‘Shades of Freedom’. Both of them will be introduced shortly.
